After a productive week working on our next issue (super excited as always about what is coming up!!) I feel ready for a fun Halloween Weekend and appreciative of a hodge podge of pretty pretty things I want to share with you.
1) Passion Pink Bently. Need I say more? Thank you to Symbolic Motors & Bentley San Diego who commissioned the only factory-built “Passion Pink” 2012 Bentley GT in the World. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will go to Susan G Komen for the cure. Thank you to the San Diego Chargers Facebook page for these awesome pictures.
1) Eames: the architect and the painter— The only not amazing thing about this documentary on the husband and wife team that changed the face of design is that the closest it is coming to San Diego is Los Angles. Be sure though that as soon as the DVD is released I will let you all know. Some may just know them for their chairs, (see here and here) and for that alone they would have their place in history but there is so much more. On a side note please read this blog by our friend Brandon Smith of d.coop in which he introduced me to the Baby Eames chair. This isn’t a good reason to have a baby right now right?
