The foot pedalsfor the stovetop pot filler were the first thing to catch my eye in this aging-in-place kitchen from Kohler. Designed by Carol Schalla of Midwest Living, “This space is all about aging in place but it doesn’t look it.” The sleek contemporary design has a cool POC (pop of color) with the ocean blue countertops.
Foot pedals under the stovetop allow for hands free functionality, how cool is that?!
The Prologue™ kitchen sink adds a recessed stainless steel counter space for convenient prep and cleanup. Food can be prepared on the sink’s incorporated work surface, making clean-up as simple as swiping the food scraps into the basin and rinsing with the sidespray. Why didn’t I think of this…
Although I never would have thought it beforehand the blue countertops totally work and I love the contrast of the hi gloss cabinets with the stone wall accents. If this is what aging in place looks like I am ready to sign up today. See more of this kitchen on the Kohler Design Inspiration page.
